Hayes Center

The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont, Ohio was the first Presidential
Library in the United States. The Library and museum were built in 1916, and became
examples for all other presidential libraries to come.
The library and museum are located on a 25 acre wooded estate known as Speigel Grove.
The president's 31 room Victorian home is open to tours. The library houses a large collection
of historical and genealogical information, and is open to the public.
